Hot Feet Dudes are defined by their bright, pastel colors.
In "G1" there were 2 crews released, followed by re-releases of the same crews. This time around, however, 6 dudes were changed in crew 1, while 5 were tampered with in Crew 2. This small decision by X-Concepts created a BIG problem for collectors, as some are hard to decipher, while others are just flat out impossible to find. Historically, anything with a re-run that included changes to specific dudes, created a sparsity of the 2ND RUN of the ones changed. This is true for both Hot Feet Crews, as well as the Hot Feet Dudes that were released in 3-packs alongside regular 3-Pack variant dudes. As far as the 3-packs are concerned, there were far less released including Hot Feet variants than not, just like Hot Feet Crew 1&2's re-releases. - If this brought up any questions, you're not alone, but this page should answer most if not all of them.

Am I having Deja Vu? No, X-Concepts just randomly decided to re-release Crew 1 with changes to 6 dudes. Billy, Bull, Ralph, and Rasta had full makeovers (take this time to see said changes) while, Barney and Brad had such subtle changes...they're borderline questionable. Such delicate differences in variant brings up 2 questions, 1.) Why not just go all in? and 2.) Why re-release Crew 1 at all? Just as easily they could have dunked Brad in pink paint, and I'm not sure anyone would have complained. Instead, we have to decipher between color subtleties as simple as a "pink-to-red" change on Brad's spikes, and the "pink-to-yellow" shoe change on Barney. To me, it seems to hurt the toy line's marketability while also making collecting/deciphering the collection a nightmare.
Shown above are the 6 dudes that were given changes in Hot Feet Crew 1. |

Like Crew 1, Hot Feet Crew 2 had a second release. This time, however, there was far less production/circulation of the second release than even Crew 1's. Like Crew 1, there was a dude given an incredibly subtle change (notice Rex's shoe color). Unlike Crew 1, there were 5 remakes instead of 6...creating many questions and much confusion again. Why they wouldn't have just chosen another dude from the Crew to re-issue is beyond me, but no more baffling than the minuscule changes that they made to Rex, Barney, and Brad that they deemed necessary. Either way, X-Concepts created a 5-headed monster I like to call "the elusive 5." In order from rarest to most common Cosmo, Norman, Duke, Rex, and Sergei make up the toughest group of TDD's to collect.*
*this doesn't imply that they are the 5 rarest "G1" dudes individually, but rather, collectively.

These 5 TDD's are by far and away the toughest group to collect. Cosmo was actually the last TDD I obtained in completing my "G1" collection. |
The next Hot Feet group to grace us includes members of the 3-packs mentioned above. The 6 dudes below served as replacements for non-Hot-Feet 3 pack variants. There were far fewer of these packs released, creating a sparsity of this particular line. That being said, for whatever reason, this variant of Fu Man Finger tends to be much harder to find than the other 5. Peculiarly, Henry and Tank do not match the look of what people consider to be "Hot Feet," and many collectors have no idea they're even a part of this series.

**Note: In G2, there is no longer multiple HF variants per dude. HF Series 3 had a very limited run, mostly in Canada and some pockets in the U.S., making these 12 dudes incredibly rare. G2 also saw 3-packs with one Hot Feet Dude and a light-up board per pack.
