#139 - Clobber

 

Clobber is a Mr T parody figure.

I have no idea why this Mr. T parody figure is Caucasian/fairer skinned? It always kind of bothers me, I also noticed some figures post-Spin Master had some interesting changes (ex: Rod (dude #115 and a tribute figure for Rod James) had a reissue in a 2008 3-Pack and was noticeably lighter than his original release). 

Vanformer Action Set mold/variant (2007-2008) 

This mold is the more common since it was featured in one of two post-Spin Master playsets. 

The Vanformer is a clear homage to the A-Team van. 

They had a second paint variant that would have been a clear homage to the Mystery Machine. 

Possible homage to the Mr. T Saturday Morning Cartoon? Or even Mr. BLT from an episode of Scooby Doo in the 80s? No really, Google it!
