Shadow debuted in G3 in 2006 Clash Crew, he was meant to be the main supervillain in the Dude Universe. Unless you saw the comic with him included with Ultimate Zero from Comic Con 2007, you would have no idea if he was meant to be a villain, anti-hero, paranormal being, Spawn parody, etc.
